Hi B,
The front cross-over line is relatively easy to replace. Having a/c and p/s make it a bit trickier to get to the line and clips.
The problem often is getting the flare fittings loose without rounding them off. Invest in a GOOD set of flare wrenches!

Right front brake line.
Just changed my left front brake line, your 71 should be similar to this.
TIP: Get a master cylinder bleed kit, and loosen the front line on the master cylinder and install the bleed kit, it will keep the M/C from going dry and having to remove and bench bleed it. Then you can remove and replace the line and just bleed both lines on the front. PG.
