A well build stock differential will handle 500hp as long as you don't run slicks and drop the clutch at high RPM. Might have to be careful at the track too.
The Dana 44 could be used but you may need to modify the batwing and adapt your frame to fit it. I don't know much about the batwing setup.

I've heard that as little as 350 HP and slicks can make them puke..
