whenever i turn my headlights on the buzzer goes off,the gauge lights go dim and the temp gauge goes all the way over to the right even if the car is cold. is it a bad ground or could the dimmer switch be shorting out.
i just had a new transmission pan installed but last year i replaced the heater core oh and i replaced all the brake lines/master cyl/ and prop valve this spring. i checked the wireing harness along the frame and can't find anywhere it could rub.
If the instruments and dash lights work fine with the headlights OFF, your problem is likely a grounding issue. Probably grounding of the headlights...check the ground paths for them.
i'll have to look. i'm not sure. i did clean all the grounds i could find, one in the back and three in the front. How many buzzers are there? Could the sending unit for the temp gauge be bad?
i believe the switch is bad. with the car running i turned the lights on and the buzzer was on and gauge was going up, but when i turned the light **** clockwice the buzzer went off and gauge went down.
