yeah...mise well. Just got the car and drove it straight to the garage. Not even a test drive. Block appears to be out of a 65 vette so maybe I should preserve it and start new?

at least displacement is correct...if it's a 65 block, may be worth some $$$$$ to NCRS type...

All your numbers are low and your two way out of line cylinders are on different sides of the engine, so when you did this check did you have the carb butterflies wide open? If not you could get goofy numbers like you have.

I'm thinking if the butterflies are open the numbers could be even lower?

Not really. You are allowing the full air charge in with them open for the highest reading and one that is the most consistane also. Close them and you do not fill the cylinder completely.

eweeeee that is nasty looking...

Block 1965 passenger 250, 300 horse
1965 Chevelle 250, 300 horse
1965 Vette 250, 300, 365, 375 horse

2 bolt main N on main bearig caps indicates nodular crank lack of N indicates forged crank

flint 10th month IS for suffix, cant find it only one that's listed is for a passenger 427 385 horse

Goody, I have been using a Fram TG5 because it is longer than the specified TG30 and has an anti-drain-back valve.
What filter name & number would you use if the Fram is not up to par?

Well...tore the motor completely down tonight. I truly can not believe this pos motor was still running. Someone had no clue pics to follow

no clue. It has been rebuilt though at some point. Noticed someone used a punch to number rod caps.
