Just checking about the compression test, you mentioned that it was turning over slowly on the first turn. Was the engine turning at normal cranking speed when you did the compression test?
All your numbers are low and your two way out of line cylinders are on different sides of the engine, so when you did this check did you have the carb butterflies wide open? If not you could get goofy numbers like you have.

Not really. You are allowing the full air charge in with them open for the highest reading and one that is the most consistane also. Close them and you do not fill the cylinder completely.
Goody, I have been using a Fram TG5 because it is longer than the specified TG30 and has an anti-drain-back valve.
What filter name & number would you use if the Fram is not up to par?
