Are you talking about the ball joint stud nuts that hold the spindle to the BJ? If so, upper 50 lf-ft plus additional torque to align cottor pin hole 1/16 turn max.
Lower is 80 lb-ft with the same hole alignment note.

I just reassembled mine in the last 10 days. Per VB&P spec sheet, the bottom two torque to 70lbs (steering arm to spindle).

FRONT SUSPENSION
Upper A-Frame bushing bolt 35* 9/16
Upper A-Frame align. Shim nut 50 11/16
Lower A-Frame Front Mtg. Bolts 70 5/8
Lower A-Frame Rear Mounting 100 7/8 & 16/16 nut
Steering Arm to spindle 70 ¾ nuts (63-68, 11/16)
Ball Joint (upper) 45+ ¾ nut
Ball Joint (lower) 75+ 7/8 nut
Ball Joint (replacement bolts) 25 ½

+ plus additional torque when necessary to align cotter pin hole
* tighten bushings only when arms are at riding height.
Lost formatting when I cut & pasted from VB&P's pdf. That sheet didn't spec the top bolt; I torqued mine to 55lbs. Seemed adequate but not confirmed as correct.

Oh, the splash shield. I've looked in all my shop manuals and can't find it anywhere either. I guess you would be safe to use a generic torque spec for the grade, size and pitch of the fastener. Three bars on the head is a grade 5.

Gary

Here's a link to the Specs.
