Carborator
I have a 1969, 427 with a Edelbrock torker II 2-0 intake manifold.
I have tried with a Holley carburator 4779 750 DP. ( double pump )It was a little to "violent ". Not easy to start and used a lot of fuel.
Do you have any proposal. Holley or Edelbrock, and what type.
Mostly street, but I like to drive fast.

750cfm might be good for you...

Only reason I would change carbs if it is a 20 year old gummed up pos
auto trans will normally respond better to vacuum secondaries.
that torker manifold is supposedly not the best in the world either.
granted there arent many square bore manifolds that will fit under a stock BB hood but even the rectangular port LS6 intake will,so i have heard, perform better than the torker.
i use the annular booster 750 speed demon on the ls6 intake on my new 430hp/500lb/ft crate 454. it all fits under the stock hood and if i am leaving any hp behind it aint much. whats nice is the demon was taken from box to motor, out a half a turn on the idle screws and a few jets up all around and i couldnt be happier.

Just today I spent the better part of the day doing the very same thing I mentioned. Now I'm getting "miles per gallon" instead of "gallons per mile".
