can anyone ID this shifter for me? Would like to use it but need to know what it is to get parts. The outer side has a patent number 3216274 3306126, the edge of that side has 503 0024 and the end has 8827. The patent numbers make me think this is a Hurst and I beleive the 503 0024 is a model - thanks

I don't believe it's a GM. Chevrolet didn't use the 2 bolt handle mounting. GM shifter handles have a base that goes into the shifter housing. I think this was true of the factory Pontiac Hurst shifters too, but it has been 35 years since I owned a Pontiac with a factory Hurst shifter. Probably a Hurst aftermarket shifter.

looks like it is a Hurst Indy 4-speed shifter model 503 0024. Anyone got linkage for this shifter?

It's a Hurst. You can buy the links from Summit. They aren't cheap, about 30 bucks each.

You'l need to know what trans. you will be using. Muncie, BW T-10 and Saginaw all use differant shift rods and arms. You will also need the mounting bracket that mounts the shift handle to the tail housing. Plus clip and bushing kit, and shift handle that has the correct length or bends.

Saginaw. Had links on it but they look crappy like they were modified or broken and repaired. Plus the fit on the transmission was very loose like there was a missing bushing or something.

Here's the parts list that came with the one I had on my 78' BW-T10. Shows a Muncie and BW but no Saginaw
