I changed my right rear caliper & brake line (from the rubber line back) last night and gravity bleed the system. I did not loose much fluid with the line or caliper change because I had the rubber line pinched off during most of the task.
Over the next 1 1/2 hours I let each bleeder drain individually (one at a time) and ran almost a quart of fluid through the system. Now my question: how do you know when you have all the air out of the system?
You guys were right- this gravity method was pretty easy- I just drank a beer (for each bleeder) and let nature take its course!

I'm going to have to do this in the near future and want to know how you had the car positioned. Was the rear of the car jacked up higher then the front so the air would travel up and out?
Thanks for any info.

I elevated the right rear of the car with my floor jack. It may have been slightly higher than the front, but the master cylinder was still higher. From my perspective, as long as the master cylinder was higher the gravity metod would work (and seemed to).
Does this help? I must say that it worked pretty well. Tonight I change the other rear caliper and we will see how the brakes are !
