I just put them on my car. I am thrilled with them. I wanted to get the AFRs but with a 10% discount at Summit I couldn't justify the expense. For about $840 I am extremely happy. It was a huge improvement over my stock L82 heads.
I think I got them in October. Actually I posted the question here to see if anyone had a discount coupon to Summit. Ask and you shall receive. This forum is great. I actually ended up getting the RPM air gap as well.
Which carb are you running? I am currently running a Holley 4175 spread bore with an adapter to use with the square bore Air Gap. The adapter is about 1" high. I am sure I am losing some on the low end because of it. She really roars to life above 3000. She doesn't like anything below 1400.
I am also running the Performer RPM package on my 81. I was impressed with the quality of the parts, everything fitted and worked straight out the box. My only reservation is the RPM cam, it`s a bit to much for daily driving and has very little below 2,500rpm but no complaints about the rest of the kit. Best time so far was 13.8@103 and that was with a worn out clutch. It would be interesting to see how close it is to the numbers advertised by Edelbrock. I havn`t been back to the track with the new clutch in it yet but it feels quick.
YES , put a set on my 66 big/block & did it myself as winter project 3 or 4 years ago :smash: very satisfied , took 90 pounds or so off the nose....9.5 compression 110 cc heads with 10.25 TRW 2300 F pistons, runs great on 93 moble gas....308 rear , 4 speed , best et 13.7 mph @ 102 MPH ,2.6 60 foot time , no traction first gear & poor traction 2nd....if had slicks 13.2 would be within reach, not bad for a beefed up L36 with a hydralic cam.... :) anyways worked for me............ :flag

Suggest you check out Edelbrock's new "E Tech" heads, aluminum head with Vortec type design, claimed to put out more HP and flow better than the Chev Vortec heads.

Re: Edelbrock heads (john's '81 mouse)
I am running the Oval port RPM,s on a solid roller cammed 454. it depends on your motor build on wether or not they would be a good fit for your car. I would check out http://www.chevyhiperformance.com and go to their cylinder head flow section. They flowed nearly all of the stock and after market heads for both mouse and rat motors, very informative. If I had it al over again I would have gone with different heads. :chevy
How is the throttle response with the 750? You don't think it is too much?No stall here--M21 with 3.55
Its like a roaring lion when I touch the pedal.......also note I have a good ignition system (new) that helps burn every drop of gas I throw down the hatch.
