My friend of mine is thinking of getting an Oddysey dry cell battery for his 66 Olds 442. The car is rarely driven and since the battery is expensive, does it hold a charge better? Any other advantages? Thanks.
Many of us have Optima red & some Optima yellow. The AGM batteries scored highly in Consumer Reports ratings.
The Optima Yellow and Optima Blue batteries are the same battery. They are a deep cycle battery. Lot of guys with big stereos will use the yellow. You can discharge the battery to a greater extent, and recharge it without performance problems.
The red top batteries are a little more touchy with the level you can discharge without loosing performace.
Great batteries. One key note: They do handle warranty issues very well.
