I`m thinking about getting either the lm-2 or the lc-1 for carb tuning. Anybody with experiance on either? Is the lc-1 enough, it`s half the price of a lm-2.
LC-1? how about a brief summary? tuned my A/F in '98, so i don't know about it.
if it is a basic wideband, no frills, the extra money could buy ~60 gal of gas. that would be my pick
I bought the PLX air fuel gauge and sender no calibration required. I have used it 2 years now works good got it on ebay for $238. Look on ebay PLX DM-5 & SM-AFR Wideband Air Fuel Ratio O2 Sensor kit
the LC1 does not display the AFR, it merely reads the sensor. You will either need the XD16 gauge to read the data live from the LC1 or you will need the DL32 to datalog the data from the LC1, then you can pull the card out and put it in your laptop and analyze the data using logworks.
I have the old LM1/LMA3 aux box combo on my bike and it works great, been on there for 4 yrs. Its really over kill for carb tuning on a street car though. I will probably go with the LM2 when I get my motor in the vette. Its allows you to view the logs right there on its own screen...No laptop needed.
Also FAST is making a dual O2 sensor wideband logger that looks promising.
