Default Emergency Brake Spring location

I am restoring a 71 Corvette convertible. I had to do some rust repair on the frame cross member ahead of the rear kick ups. I was installing the emergency brake cables today and can't figure out where to hook the spring that goes from the end of the mergency brake adjustment threased rod on the front cable and hooks to the rear crossmember. I know it hooks to the cross member near the center in the area where the seat belt cable bracket is located but I don't see a hole for it. There was some rust in this area and no spring when I started working on the car. I expect I patched over the hole where the spring mounts. If someone has a good picture of the rear crossmember showing the spring in place it would help me to locate the correct area for the hole. Also if you can let me know the diameter of the hole as well would be great.

thanks very much
Gary
