Default full roll cage pics needed

Anyone have any pics of their full roll cage inside where the bars come down from the over head hoop past the dash? I'm considering doing a full cage instead of just a 6 point and was wonder what else would need to be added.

Nice 434 sbc! What do you run in the 1/4 or 1/8?

Thanks. Right now I've been just entering some heads up classes on motor only. I've ran 6.92 in the 1/8th mile while trying to hit 7.0. Not really geared for the 1/8 th though with only a 3.50 gear. I can only use 1st and 2nd gear. I haven't got to go to our 1/4 track since I don't have the roll bar in yet.

LOL... like me NO GEAR, but I am running a 3.36 factory rear end.

I dont have a cage in my car. Thinking I should run in the 6s in the 1/8 also. My old combo would go 7.78 1/8th.

Maybe I'll fix the gear issue this winter. I have the Autofab 4 link and Ford 9" setup in mine. I got tired of twisting the axles in the stock stuff.
Good luck with your build!

Well, I answered my own question. Damn, SEARCH button does work! This is probably the best cage I have seen ever. Very nice job!

I have the Jegster kit for our cars. I'm installing the full 10 point kit. I haven't installed it yet. I have one race left this weekend and then I'm going to tear it down for the install.

No, I haven't installed mine yet. There are a few members that have installed them though. This type of stuff usually requires some tweaking anyways. There is no direct bolt in solution for this type of stuff.

I know I'm late to the party on this for the OP, but here are a couple pix of my frame/cage (I thought this might be helpful since you can see everything without bodywork). A few disclaimers, this is a road racer and the body was widened by about 8". Also, neither front or rear suspension are stock so all the pick up points are unique to this car.

If u only run the 1/8th why would u consider the 10pt? Car is small enough inside already, lol and pluss the added weight.

Street shakers cage is nice, but it also has some design flaws like mine.

You have to allow for certain things. Like the bar next to your head. I brought mine in to be able to open the T-Top lach. so my helmet touches the bar foam padding (not ideal) Look at street's hoop. A tall person would be screwed because of blocked vision from the top of the mirror up (You could not see the drag strip tree from this car. My fix was to eliminate the visors and put the hoop up to give better vision

I bought the door swing outs and never installed them. I need to cut mine out and do a couple of things. You need to remove at least the door arm rests. That way the bar can be farther out for a bigger selection of racing seats. You really need to cut out the raised floor under the seat and make it ftat with the foot area for 6 foot + person

This is interesting! I saw this 15 years ago and it was very functional.

No open cockpit cars have a front hoop. Even at the very top of the sport. Do F1, Indy, top fuel dragsters have a front hoop?

Front hoops are only required by cars that have enclosed cockpits or full sized windsheilds
