Default 69 front bumper conversion

havent done a post in a few weeks but ive been neading to ask this question for a long time now....

you know how on the 68 and 69 they have the chrome front bumber/grille combination. My question is does anyone make a similar design in chrome for the 1982 corvette. i know that they is a gap if you were to take a 69 one to put on an 82 anyways so if you have any ideas where to get one or where to have one special made please let me know!

Thanks,

Drew

The front ends and frame are different from 69 to the 82 you have. Anything can be done with enough time and money but it is not a simple job at all. Plus it would not look right on an 82 car.

For me as much as I like the chrome bumper cars and I think they are the best looking C3 the looks of the 82 are right there with it.

Trust me, you're opening up a can of worms with this post! Anything can be done, but it isn't a bolt on proposition. Plus, to my knowledge, nobody makes a conversion kit. I have a 72 that had a 73 front clip on it. I converted it back to the chrome bumper, but it took alot of Ebay shopping to find the parts, and the list is loooong!

Hi Drew,
I'd think it would cost more to do the conversion well, than it would if you sold your present car and bought a 68-72.
I agree with G that it might not look very good with the rest of the lines on your car.
Regards,
Alan

I'm sure my mechanic Red Green could help you out with a little duct tape and a chrome bumper. This is what he did for my Civic so it would be better in wet weather.
