draw on battery
i have a bad draw on my battery i pulled all fuses and in 8hrs the battery was about dead i'm running a msd with a 6al everything else is stock it also has mew key switch & wiper is out but battery will die with all fuses out i don't know what to do thanks pete

Electric fans on your car? Not tied in to ignition switch? Main power wire (+12 v) from battery has insulation wearing through somewhere? Error in wiring up the MSD box? Or, the most obvious reason....the battery is 'shot' and can't hold a charge?

Try disconnecting the alternator while it sits.

I had this proble, 6AL box was bad and pulling current somehow. At least I assuem that's what it was. I sent the box to MSD and for $85 I got it fixed up and no more battery problems for the last 2 years.

alternator is common like most have said. also trace your positive power wire from battery all the way along. if the red insulation has worn through or melted and the wire is touching your chassis,motor etc etc then your battery will drain very quick.
