Default C3 - crate engine options

Hi Everyone,

Just wondering if anyone here has ever purchased a crate engine from NYES automotive in Muncie, IN

Here's a link to one of their engines that I'm considering

http://www.nyesautomotive.net/427_550_HP.html

The other engine builder I'm considering is Scott Shafiroff out of Bohemia, NY. link is below:

http://www.ultrastreet.net/engines/427_realstreet.asp

I'm leaning towards NYES since they have a better price and the overall engine product seems to be not too different. Racing Junk forum has good comments about NYES.

Any info. would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

Lots of good (and bad) engine builders out there. Stick with one that gives a solid warranty.

Hi 76sting,

Thanks for your reply, actually I have done lots of research on crate engines. I've looked at GMPP ZZ4, ZZ383, other engine builders such as Bill Mitchell, American Speed, BES, Beck's etc. I've also looked on this forum about Scott Shafiroff and NYES. What I was looking for opinions from anyone that has SSRE (Scott Shafiroff) or NYES engines installed in their vert. Hoping to have opinions from fellow members.

Thanks

Don

my bad because your right...sorry I have no former experience with them. What are you using it for racing or just a really good street engine? Maybe a little of both?

Cost wise take a peek at year one 383 or 350 engine..I am only mentioning thme because of the cost difference.
