Default Fuse Box Help

Hi, I want to attach a DRL module to my IGN (Ignition) Fuse. Does anyone know which side is the power and which side is the load? I need to plug it into the circuit after the fuse for obvious reasons. Also, I think that this is a 10 A fuse. Is it safe to add < 1 Amp to it (two 5 Watt LEDs)? In other words, when you start the car, how many Amps go through the IGN fuse? Thanks. BTW - as always, it's a '69.

Witha test light or volt meter, remove the fuse and see which terminal is hot.

I might be able do this, but I just figured it would be annoying because you have to hold the key down. I would need three hands... I was thinking I'd just get the info from someone who already knows.

The inside terminals are the fused sides. The outsides are hot.

The ign spade only means the spade is hot with the key or ign on not while the starter is engaged.

Thanks, Roger! Which fuse should I use to have the lights on only when the car is running? I assume the lights would be sharing current with the coil.

The coil is not fused through the fuse box,its fused through a fusible link. As far as spades in the fuse box you can use the ign spade which will have a 20 amp fuse that is for the turn signals and the backup lights. You can also use the acc spade which is using the10 amp radio fuse.
The battery spade will be hot all the time.
You could also use the strong brown 12 gauge under the column if you don't have AC but you will have to add a fuse.

Thanks, Roger I will connect my wire to the left side of the IGN then. This sounds like a good way to go. My LEDs will come on with my accessories.
