Hi, I want to attach a DRL module to my IGN (Ignition) Fuse. Does anyone know which side is the power and which side is the load? I need to plug it into the circuit after the fuse for obvious reasons. Also, I think that this is a 10 A fuse. Is it safe to add < 1 Amp to it (two 5 Watt LEDs)? In other words, when you start the car, how many Amps go through the IGN fuse? Thanks. BTW - as always, it's a '69.
I might be able do this, but I just figured it would be annoying because you have to hold the key down. I would need three hands... I was thinking I'd just get the info from someone who already knows.
The coil is not fused through the fuse box,its fused through a fusible link. As far as spades in the fuse box you can use the ign spade which will have a 20 amp fuse that is for the turn signals and the backup lights. You can also use the acc spade which is using the10 amp radio fuse.
The battery spade will be hot all the time.
You could also use the strong brown 12 gauge under the column if you don't have AC but you will have to add a fuse.
