retro roller oil change
I got an email today from my father in law who is taking care of my vette while I am in Korea. The new engine has now seen 500 miles on the break in oil and is ready for an oil change. He wanted to know what to put in it.
Since its a retro roller design I wanted to make sure that I am correct in assuming that ZDDP is no longer an issue.

your free to go with normal oil now mate that has the grading of your choice. i just use castrol edge 25W-50 . arent roller cams great not having to worry about specific oils !!!!... but then again i put the same oil in my flat tappet 383 in another car with no problems.

cool, it sucks the motor was supposed to be finished before i left but the shop ran into delays. now i have to wait until next august before i can drive it, my wifes dad takes it out every so often but thats about it.
