The offset is 35mm, stock offset is zero and I'm using a 9.5" rim with 275's . I should probably move the offset in a little accounting for the size of the tire. What size of wheel spacer do I need, 35mm + how much I want the stock offset moved in. Now how much should I move the stock offset for the 9.5" rim with 275's on it. Everything is cleared to move the offset in.
Also what are the pitfalls of using spacers , do they have a lot of problems like breaking wheel studs....etc?
You answered your own spacer question . . . broken wheel studs. It also puts more stress on wheel bearings as you move the wheel centerline further out.
Good looking wheels. Sometimes spacers are the only way to get the wheels you like. I have driven many miles w/o problems(knock on wood). Research like i did and you will hear lots of people say good and bad things but in the end its you that has to decide if its worth it. Back spacing is hard to say w/o mocking up as each car can have some differance in tolerances. Good luck
