Default Finally! A New Engine. Just need Diff Info.

Well everything is good now I have finally purchased a new Engine for my little old 74. And a new tranny. Super T10 with a 3.44 first gear :)

Got a OBDII - Z28 95 Camaro LT1 :) Gotta love fuel injection :)

Only one quick question and I think I already know the answer but I cannot recall where I found it. I need a site that shows the diff ratio for my vette?

I have a 74 Stingray which orginally was L82 manual?

Thanks

If I read my Vette Vues correctly, there were only two differentials available for the L82 in '74 (based on trans & options), 3.55 or 3.70.

Some of the '74 owners should be able to substantiate this.

Sounds like you have a nice project going there. :yesnod:

There should be a number, stamped on the bottom of the differential casting, near the parting line. Post that number here and sombody can check a manual & tell you what the original ratio was. The other option is to turn the wheels and count the times the driveshaft turns for each wheel revolution...

Can't help with the web site...
