It is a pin switch located on the lower rear door jamb. For example: open the door, look down towards the dog leg. Nearby there is this switch mounted in the doorjamb. Is it a "door ajar" switch? I need to replace one on a customer's car and I don't know exactly what to ask for. thanks.
BTW This car is a 69 coupe.
Funny story on that warning about being careful. The last guy wasn't careful and not only loosened the mounting bracket, but broke the fiberglass in the jamb that the bracket is rivited to!
I had to cut a section out of the wheelwell to get to the backside to repair with mat and resin.
