Looking good. Did you do any upgrades to the frame and suspension while you had it apart? I can see the upper control arms are new. Keep the pics coming. It is good to see you guys doing this kind of work on your cars. Makes me think there may be a day in my future that I attempt a frame off on mine.
I used VB&P for all my steering and suspension needs. Composite rear monospring, Bilstien shocks, they completely rebuilt my trailing arms, adjustable Smart Struts, new front and rear sway bars, new hi-performance offset upper A-arms, they rebuilt my lower A-arms, all new polyurethane bushings, new springs and all steering compoments.
Also had a 383 stroker motor built and a Richmond 5-speed.
Hi S73,
I really enjoyed your pictures!
It looks like your having a good time and doing things a bit 'your way'!
I'll be looking for some updates.
Regards,
Alan
Nice looking set up, I like the silver frame, it kind of gives it
a bare metal appearance. I hope to see more photos as you
progress through the build.
What is you vision of the over all build, mostly stock, or a resto rod,
or custom, as far as the appearance.
Very very nice. I also like the frame color. Although it makes me a bit sad to see the pictures of your frame and progress. My frame off "frame" restoration pictures were lost during a hard drive failure. I sadly hadn't backed them up. Yep, I'm stupid. Live and learn. Have fun, and keep posting your progress pictures. I'm a 73' fan.
Thanks for all the votes of confidence. Actually, I'm not much of a mechanic, so I hope when I'm done, it won't fall apart. Today I started sand blasting the metal parts of the body, but didn't get very far because I kept getting moisture in the air line. Tomorrow, a trip to the paint shop for a moisture filter of some kind. I plan to clean and paint the underside of the body and redo the interior, including all new wiring harnesses, then it'll be ready for the stroker motor and Richmond 5 speed. Unfortunately, the exterior paint will have to wait due to lack of funds.
Unfortunately, on a sad note, the very first picture shows the body on a lift when it was removed from the frame at a friends shop. He said I could do my work there and he had plenty of extra space. Last Friday, he lost his lease and I was forced to transport the entire project to my very small and over crowded garage. Tomorrow I'll post a picture of the garage, It'll make a grown man cry.

After I looked all the neat work you have been doing to this car I went back and was looking in the back ground of the pictures and thought, man that's one hell of a shop you have there.
Sorry you had to move, but keep the updates coming.

If your garage is smaller than this:
you have my sympathies. If not, just man up and get it done.
You have lots of space in there. If you raise the body up higher you can store a lot of the junk underneath. Most of my work is done in the driveway, weather permitting. The chassis can be rolled by a single person easily. It gets progressively harder the closer you get to completion.
The body is on a wood dolly so I can roll it in and out of the garage when I'm able to work on it. I guess I was just spoiled by the almost unlimited space I had at my friends garage.
