So, I sandblasted my window regulators.
Cleaned up nice. But now I realized that they were probably cad plated for corrosion protection and that got blasted off.
Everything in my project has been powdercoated but I think the mil thickness will interfere with the rollers inside the tracks. Same with paint. I suspect that a plating shop will cost as much as new reproductions.
Any other ideas on how to protect these from just rotting away?

that funny looking green/yellow epoxy primer is great stuff......i have seen cars abandoned at body shops sitting out side for years that havent rusted.....i doubt the thickness of it will cause a problem, or use the gray galvanized rustoleum primer that has a high zinc content....thats good stuff also and it is thin...i have left steel outside with that painted on it as a test and it holds up really well several years of outside exposure year round and it the brown rust just started to appear.
