yoke play and specs

yoke play and specs
would anyone know how muc up and down play you should have at the yoke at the diff case? I can move mine up and down. what should the messurement at the bearing surface be? i have 1.390 and 1.395 on mine
I have installed new bearings and still have the play. i need to know if I should install new shafts or this play is normal.
Can anyone help?
If I need new shafts where do I go I live in Canada, I see the pricing is all over the place.
I have a 383 stroker pushing 450hp.
I have also read where people have lowered the snubbers to stop stuff from breaking does anyone have any info on this?

sorry I will try harder to clear up my question
1- the stub shaft ( yoke shaft) measures 1.395 at the bearing surface
2- I have about 5 thou play in and out on the stub shafts ( this is ok)
I can move my shafts ( at the yoke outside the diff carrier) up and down about 30 thou. ( up and down being towards the road being down nad up being towards the car body)
