82 Humming
I went out this morning to start my 82, and nothing. Replaced the battery that was 6mo old, and it started up fine. The problem is that i can hear a faint humming sound from the back of the car. I believe its my fuel pump. Does this mean I have to get a new fuel pump relay? How do I get the thing to shut off without diconnecting the battery?

you need to find out why the pump is running.do you have a fuel leak?take the air cleaner off and see if you have fuel leaking past the injectors .you may have to check the hose between the fuel pump and the fuel sending assembly[in the gas tank].

82 fuel pump running when car is off
No Leaks, but I did replace the Oil Pressure scending unit. They are somehow related on 82's. The problem didn't start until after I installed the new unit. I'm wondering if it could be the fuel regulator.
