Default Steering Questions Again

Still have that tight steering that will not return to center. It must be physically returned. Underneath suspension is new.
I have
1. Replenished steering box with Lucas #2 Red

2. Adjusted the screw in the steering box numerous times with now results.

3. The stop pins mentioned by Jim Shea are very , very, close to center and do not touch anything.

Play in the steering wheel is not an issue. There is very little if any.

Any ideas where to go from here.
thanks

Have you checked that the gear is aligned at top-dead center?

Caster, more is better especially if running 255 wide tires. Caster helps steering to self center.

turn wheel all the way to one side and then count the number of turns to turn all the way to the other side.

turn wheel half the total obtained above.

check steering box at rag joint, flat spot on shaft should be at top. Rag joint bolts on box and column should be at 90 degree angle to each other.

if necessary, adust toe-in by turning each tie rod the same number of terms. recommend having alignment checked.
