I've always liked this car ever since I saw the pics of it being done. The rim to wheel well spacing is perfect. Love the WALL-E power plant too.

Here's mine:

18x8.5 Front wrapped in 245/45 R18's - BS 4.5
18x10 Rear wrapped in 275/40 R18's - BS 5.25

Lowered a couple inches via photoshop for now, until I time to do some work to my front end.

Default That's Red!

86: Very nice/clean car. Makes me rethink 18s on the front? I like your rear wing. Where and how much and do you think it does anything?
Could you or someone photoshop that wing on a 74? I was going to use the PC kit, but a wing could be better? Or NOT! lol

Thanks BB72... My neighbors call it the Johnny 5 (but i guess it's the same thing as WALL-E.)

Also time for me to tear it down again for the winter rebuild. Going to get a new paint job and some minor body work done, new interior from carpet up (minus the seats) and hopefully get to put in shark-bite coil over rear suspension, and steeriods.

I need to spend less time racing and more time taking pictures of my car. My pics suck! 275/60-15 DR on 15x10" rear and 165/80-15 on 15x4" front.

Thanks!

The red is a color they used on the C4's for a while, if I remember correctly "bright red" is the color name - Sikkens paint, shot in '92. I've seen it on the C4's and always thought it looked kinda plain & dull, the curves of the C3 really bring out the best in the color.

I like 18's in the front over 17's because it's a little easier to fill the fenders. Personally, I think 18's are a good compromise in getting some bigger wheels & tires under the car without getting tires that are too short and without having the huge wheel look. I'm considering going with larger (i.e. taller) tires when replacement time comes, too - probably 255/45's on the front and either 285/40's or 275/45's on the rear.

That rear wing was purchased from Ecklers back around 1989 or so, not sure if they still sell it. I've always thought the rubber bumper cars up to '79 looked a little funny with the sloping rear. I like the pace car tail that kicks up, but everyone has them. I liked this wing because it wasn't too much, but fixed the sloping rear problem.

Hey MotorHead, Yes i lived in San Francisco and moved back here in October 08. At the time i had a 69 (still have), a 71 (sold) and my 72. I needed more garage space than the one car garage i had back in San Francisco, so now i have plenty of room for vettes and also live really close to the parents to help them out more. I also bought a trailer for the 72 to move it from place to place if it's too far to drive.

and i bought this 69 just before i moved
