i have a 75' vette and it's been sitting outside my house for about 13 years...finally my dad let me have it so im thinking about lifting up the body from the frame and sand blasting the frame to take out the rust. I know that i have to remove the body mounts ( most likely gonna brake them) and taking off the linkage for the brakes and steering. Is there anything else im missing before i attempt to do this?

Yes a boat load of stuff !
Bumpers and mounts, wiring, battery cables, Gnd cables, parking brake cable, driveshaft safety loop. speed O-cables, tach cable
a ton of stuff under the hood; steering linkage, Hoses, brakes lines,
clutch linkages, wiring, accelrator cable
rear vallance, Radiator and support mounts,
you need to do a lot of research. 69VETT
I have a body removal checklist. It is 13 pages I can email you a copy if you want. I got it from someone who posted it on this forum. Let me know your email address if you want a copy.

geraldhocutt@hotmail.com could you email me your list. thanks i just got done with the front suspension, motor and trans. rear suspension and frame maybe next.
Take your time. Once you get everything undone jack it up an inch or so at a time and check all around before proceeding in case you miss something! Sometimes the shims stick to the body so be sure to get all of them and make a diagram of how many went where so you can get it back together without messing up the body. Do not use an impact on the body mount bolts as you can stretch out the little "cage" that holds the square nuts and then the nuts will spin. I learned that one the hard way!
Good luck!
Don't say you're gonna break the body mount bolts. If you break, them you'll say you shoudn't have said that. Instead start spraying them now with penetrating fluid. By the time you get everything on the checklist done they will be lubricated and ready to come out. I didn't break one and they came out nice and easy. I did break the trans kickdown cable when lifting the body though. It got hung up on something. Just go slow and have someone check around the car as you inch the body up.
