Do any of you guys who are familiar with the race cars from the late 60's remember what size wheels were used on the 68-69 L-88 cars that were not flared? I'm pretty sure that the 10 inch wide wheels would have protuded out past the fenders. Check the James Garner AIR L-88's on this site. http://www.airl88.com/
His cars were not flared. Also, what was the "wheel of choice"? I see most cars used the American Racing Torque Thrust magnesium wheels, although some used the more expensive lightweight Minilites.
From what I have researched, non-flared cars ran the normal 15 x 8.5 Torq Thrust or 200S (daisy) wheel.
The flared cars where (by rules) allowed to run upto 1.5" over stock, but as there weren't any readily available 15 x 9.5" wheels, they let them run 15 x 10's.
