Be careful when you do this, I boxed mine in real nice only to have the new Dewitts rad lower outlet hit it. I almost broke the lower pipe off when I installed the front clip with the rad and cradle. I had to remove and install the clip twice just to get enough off. There's very little left of my boxing in work. It was a real pain because I'm outside of town . But thanks to member Dannyman, he's a good lad, he came over helped me out.
Thanks Danny, you know I'm there when you find time for your car, well....when I have two arms.
And, what the heck is the reason you would want to do it? More weight?
Yup, the idea is to make the whole car as heavy as possible, we have to use the extra HP somewhere.
It's actually to stop any flex you might get on the frame horns. I'm sure the sway bar would put a lot of stress on the front frame. This is a picture of a now famous corvette engineer. You can see how the mod would strengthen up the front.
I can see that the stabilizer might use a little support for some racing situations, but the distance is pretty short there and that should be easy to support. Otherwise I can see little other advantages. While the horns are a weak point and they are vulnerable to side impacts, I have seen cars that jumped ditches and landed on the front that the horns survived in tact and the frame was bent back behind the cross member. So I doubt it does much to stiffen the horn in that direction.

Do you know for sure?! I on the other hand don't jump ditches and prefer to be safer, since my car is apart and going together that extra 2lbs of metal is in the right place. Less flex equates to a better feel when you drive the car. My wife has a 96 BMW and they are so much further ahead , you control this car, it's an extension of you. Thats what I want this to be.
