Out of curiosity, if you have a catalytic converter on a car that you've removed the computer from, how do you keep it from burning up since the smog pump no longer works?
I am restoring a yellow 81 right now. I have a smog pump and all of the hardware, EFE switch, catalytic converter( almost new). I cut off the ASM pipes on the manifold. I cremped each one and welded them shut. "I'm leaving the computer". The engine is at the machine shop. I just received my rebuilt 1991 700R4 trans. I got my drive shaft shortened 3". Installed a new Bowtie crossmember. Right now I'm installing new front control arm bushings, coil springs, ball joints and shocks. Lots os cleaning and painting. I'll have some stuff for sale when I'm done, probably going on Craig's list.
