Correct frame splice area?
I want to do a frame-off on my 70 convertible, my frames weak (rust areas in bad sections). I have a cherry 76 frame I want to put under my car and section in a 70 rear frame section.
Has anyone done this, and can tell me exactly where to cut & splice and what problems might I encounter?
I am aware of keeping it square and level. My plan is to raise the body once and roll the new chassis under to minumize body flex.
Any suggestions? THX
