Have an 81' that has a battery drain. drained once before cause the glove box light switch wasn't fully off when the door was closed and so I adjusted it and all was fine. Left it for one week and then it started up like a charm. Three days later was click, click, click. Glove box light still? Some other drain? Could it be the new alarm system I've had installed?

If you're still using the old battery it may be no good. They don't like to be completely discharged on one or more occasions, especially if they are older.

But you could have a new drain. There are ways you can check for drain but it can be complicated with delay courtesy lights and an aftermarket alarm system.
You could remove your battery, charge completely, check the voltage, let the battery sit for a week and recheck the voltage. If its low the battery will have to be replaced ( to start ).
Put a DVM INLINE with the power to the battery, set the meter on the amps setting. Be careful because if you have fused leads you'll blow it easily. Now...if you see a draw...you will have to start pulling fuses and look to see when the current draw is gone, remember if a fuses don't affect the draw then put it back. Note what fuse is related to the current drop when the amps drop. Check what that fuse is associated with and start checking that stuff.
