Vette slows down now
I had a previous topic about my Vette not slowing down below 35 mph. For two months I have work on the carb; minor overhaul resetting the throttlr plates checking the cable, etc.. Turns out the rod that connects the gas pedal to the throotle cable was hanging up in its bracket on the inside of the firewall. I had changed the cable out during Christmas and that is when I notice the problem started, so I started checking everything that I had done/touched since Christmas. I had removed the gas pedal/rod assembly to clean it. Obviously I did something wrong putting it back in. My son loosened the two bolts and sprayed some oil into the bracket, tighten the bolts down and the gas pedal moved much much soother. We drove the Vette to the park and it slowed down. Amazing what happens when you do something sooo small wrong. Now I have to reinstall my non-drilled out throttle plates and redo all the idle settings. The fun of having a Vette.
