Sounds great Steve. Wish I were in that BB boat with ya.
Could you post that site with the Reverse switch for a Muncie----Bubba had other uses for mine and I didn't want to spend $100!
Thanks
Len
Len, I looked and it loks like they've all discontinued them. I'll keep looking. The Camaro suppliers I usually use are Year One, Classic Industries, and National Parts Depot.
If you need a hand dropping her in send me an email.
4800. Includes balancer and flywheel. Everything said and done I think I'll have spent roughly 6K when I'm done, including sidepipes&baffles, intake, carb, and distributor.
Steve:
That's really a pretty good price considering you're getting a REALLY nice set of aluminum heads with the engine. I think I have around $3500 into my engine including the side pipes. Man I wish I had those heads of yours. I bet we'll be dropping our engines in around the same time :). My target date is Easter. Good luck, I hope everything turns out OK with the installation.

Thanks for checking Steve---let me know if you find a source for that switch.
SteveDid you ever check out that Cresco Motorsports engine builder in Charlotte, NC? He's got another 454 on e-bay for $2,500! It's described as a standard height deck.
Bence---where'd you get your short block? How much did you pay?

Nope, I found this guy was local to me so I started checking him out instead. I just called and double checked, he IS using a standard block. He was like "Tall blocks are beautiful, but you'd never fit it in your vette."
He said he's hoping to have it done by this next weekend.
