I know nothing about the box from Summit Racing, but can tell you that the Borgeson box #800108 will bolt straight into your car because it was designed to. The only structural modification requires you to collapse your steering column a little over an inch, because the Control Valve is on the input side of the box, not on the end of the relay rod, and the box is therefore "longer".
You get to keep your own Pitman arm, just remove it from the old box and fit it to the new one. If your car had factory power steering, then you will need a Borgeson Drag Link adapter, part #990002, and a new rag joint part #055034 or #055043. Add a Borgeson (two only) hose kit #925103 and you're done. If your car was factory manual steer, you can eliminate the DLA, but will need a pump and bracket kit #800310.
You will have change out of a grand, and that seems a lot more than the Summit box, but that box will NOT fit straight into the car without needing a bunch of accessories to make everything work. The Borgeson products are designed specifically for the C2 and C3 Corvettes and every component complements the next.
I have seen the Borgeson box fitted in Randy's '68 from San Francisco and he swears by it. Others I am sure will chime in and tell you their stories. Look up www.borgeson.com.

I just had another look at the Summit box. It says "FRONT STEER" and is designed to go in FRONT of the crossmember. If you fit it BEHIND the crossmember, the car will turn left when you turn the wheel right and vice versa. How long do you think it will take to get used to driving like that?

Also, look at the length of the Pitman shaft. Your Pitman arm, if you could fit it on, would foul the chassis every time you tried to turn right. Also, I bet the three mounting holes would not line up with the chassis, so you'd have to drill more holes in the chassis, right where it is already weakened by too many holes ex-factory!

I'm sure that it is a good box that will fit SOME cars, but the Corvette is not one of them. Go Borgeson.

First, seems that 800108 Borgeson-built Delphi 600 is NEARLY a direct fit & is, for MOST folks, a good value at about $460.
AGR boxes are very good QUALITY; has a respected race app rep. But the agr box in summit link would take LOTSA work to fit C3.
FYI ... no matter if Front-steer or Rear-steer ... boxes rotate same direction ... difference is pitman arms "clocked" 180* apart:
Front-steer box's pitman arm reaches Rearward to center/drag link.
Rear-steer box's pitman arm reaches Forward to center/drag link.
