Default 1979 Throttle cable.

I just installed the bracket and throttle cable on my new carb (demon). Now the gas pedal is half way down in the car before the cable pulls the linkage on the carb. Is there any way to shorten this cable?

Is the bracket right for the carburetor? You can also relocate the anchor point of the cable sheath by bending the bracket if desired. Also be sure that the attachment point on the carb's throttle arm is the same distance from the center of the shaft as it was with the stock carb.

I know it's not the right bracket but what bracket could I use? It's a speed demon. There is about an inch of slack in the line, the line also bends before the little square.

Well I found the bracket I would need. I'm also thinking about changing the cable to the lokar type. Is this difficult? I just put the dash back in today

The lokar type cables are great! I've used them before and really like them.
