Gas tank reinstall ?
Can anyone here give me a solid explanation as to why GM used tar paper to cushion the gas tank and why rubber could not be used instead.
I just dropped my tank and am thinking about going back with rubber. No I did not find a tank sticker as the tank was replaced by a PO. I did however find the N-14 option printed on the underside of the rear deck. Also the numbers 390 that I assume was the build number for the assembly line.

I wound up using double layers when I went back with my tank hoping it would not rub through as long as I am keeping the vette.
