I think I have the original set of valve covers for my 69 350/350 vette. They have the raised ridges in them. Does anybody know if this is correct? If so I believe that one of them has an emblem on it, but mine is missing. Can someone tell me what emblem goes there, if any, and where I can get one?
Thanks,
Steve
Steve,
No problem. Your covers will be bare aluminum. The black style started in 1978. If GM does not stock, here are the emblems from ZIP, a Forum sponsor. http://store.yahoo.com/zipproducts/zip-t-323.html
Adam,
I work about 2 miles from Volunteer Vette. I have been getting most of my parts from them. They are a top notch place for vette parts in my opinion. :yesnod:
Steve,
Just paint them with GM semi-gloss engine paint and run a paint razor over the ridges when done. Looks good. I have not done mine for some time but will do so this spring. If you are two miles from Volunteeer then your problem is solved.
