Default Need rear shocks? with pics

I am almost done an entire rear end redo and my shock bit the dust!
It was a napa gas shock and when I was installing it I heard a hissing sound coming out of one of them.

So now I am going to buy a good set of shocks. any ideas?

I don't want KYB's or monroe or delco's .

I have been reading posts about:
Bilstein HD ,
Bilstein Sports:
Edelbrock IAS shocks

Here are some pics of what I have been up to. on my 69 vert

Very nice. A pole barn and a lift would be perfect.
I have the Bilsteins HD's (all 4) on mine and like them very much. They give a smooth but controlled ride. My.02.

Bilstein HD's in front with Poly bushings with 550 springs and Bilstein Sports in the rear with a 360 composite spring. Love the ride, handling, and steering reponse. I have had Delcos, KYB Gas a Just and Koni's over the past 26 years!

Another vote for the Bilstein Sports. Plus, they will match your paint job. Nice job on the 69.

I am torn between the blistein hd or the sports?
I just like driving around and taking the car to some shows.

My concern is that I want the car to be as low as can be.

Will either of these shocks raise the rear end up ?
and I do have long bolts in the rear as well.

I took out my Daytona springs and replaced them with an F-41 suspension.

Then I replaced the Koni’s with Bilstein Sports. The ride height remained the same.

Same here (Sports) - great shocks!

Didn't alter the ride height at all.
