hello, i'm from italy, and i have in my garage these pair of Gm head, casting number 3881482, but i don't know where they come from...
can you decode this number?

Are you sure they are from a Chevrolet engine? Small block?
Recheck that number and then go to mortec.com

i'm sure it's SBC heads, but i wanna know which valves and cc. are..

This number is not listed in any Corvette reference material I have including an old Corvette parts and illustration catelog from 1953-1974.

You have to look for it as a "482" head. It is a smallblock Chevy generic smog head with 75cc chambers and 1.72 intake and 1.50 exhaust. By no means a performance head or of any value.

No. The L-48 head is better. Valve size is larger on the L-48 head at 1.94" intake, 1.50" exhaust.
