Headlights going up and down finaly!!!!
All system parts are new and have been tested. Now I do have some questions about adjustment. I replaced all the springs and hardware in both bucket's. As I said the lights are now going up and down with the swith on and off as they should. However, one is faster than the other at going up and down. The passenger side reacts immediately. The drivers lags behind. It also does not close all the way. I am thinking I have the clevis turned out to much.
How much slack should be in the adjustment of the clevis?
What else would cause the HL's not to go up in sync?
Should I tie wrap all the hose ends where they connect?
Thanks
Wade
There is an adjustable 'stop' for the headlight door in both the open and closed position. Check your AIM if you have one, or ask for someone to scan the sheet for you.
There are several reasons for the doors to open at a different speed. Remember there are 2 relays and 2 actuators with various seals and hose connections. A SLIGHT leak at any of those seals or connections could cause the variation you're seeing. I'd look for a slight leak by testing with a mighty-vac. I'd also disconnect the actuator for the slow door and move the door by hand to see if there's any binding in the mechanism that's causing the door to be slow.
Good Luck!

Alan
