kick down cable

Just bought an Eldebrock 1406 carb from 79VAVETTE (he has lots of parts still that he is selling) and replaced my holley 600.....what a big difference. It runs outstanding now. My question is how do I adjust my transmission kickdown cable. It will not down shift at all unless I do it manually.

I have a 1979 L48 automatic.

With the engine off pull the throttle to WOT and pull the cable all the way out and tighten it to the bracket. That's it!
