reverse flow radiator???

In installing my 1994 LT1 in the 68 Vette, are there special reverse flow radiators that have to be used? Or can a stock type radiator be used?

Thats a good Question. I have a 96 GS but its not near by to see. The water will flow threw the radiator fine I'm just thinking about the Bubbles getting traped. Th one time I drained my LT4 I had a lot of trouble bleeding Air out. They have two bleeder screws to aid in the process but it still took a wile.

anyone that has put in a late model LT1 in your C3? What radiator did "you" use?

I don't know that which radiator matters...as long as it is sized correctly. But the engine was designed to have the heads cooled first, so a "reverse" pump is probably required.

The LT1 already has a reverse flow water pump, which is why I ask if a special radiator needs to be used.

I agree, It won't matter which way it flows through the rad, and the stock rad is likely big enough for your average LT1 but I can't say for sure

IMO, you would want the water to flow through the radiator in the same general direction - top to bottom. Left to right doesn't matter.

Gotta watch that the suck side of the pump always sees water from the rad and not air....note the way they always do that from the factories, engine always sux from down LO....feed to rad is up high....
