Hard Top latch question
I just purchased an original hardtop for my 72 at a swap meet and my questions are as follows:
1) Did the forward three latches have black rubber covers over the handles like they do on my soft top?
2) If they did, then where could I purchase them?

HUMMPFH, Isn't that interesting, mine are polished chrome on the hardtop and covered on the soft top....all 3 on each...the same....no evidence of ever being covered on the hardtop....

I do believe that the hardtop latches do not have the rubber coating. Don't know why. Chuck

I've been trying to get mine adjusted just right recently and know both tops are chrome on mine.

Re: Hard Top latch question (Milest)
71' 350 Roadster
Soft top has rubber end handle on latches. Hard top is chrome. BOTH are original.
PROBLEM: The passenger side latch fell/broke off the frame completely. I have a new top so I need to figure out how to re-attach this latch without taking the top off the frame to weld it.
I'm looking into some of these Liquid Welding Epoxys.
Anyone have any experience with these?
Other ideas?
Thanks!
