I took my c3 1970 vette apart just to replace the headlight switch. My problem was that every time I drove with my headlights on they would just turn off on me & I would mess with the lever of the switch and they would come on again. That worked for a bit then it just never turned on again. I put a brand new switch from ecklers cuz I was told “change the switch and everything will work fine”. Now with the new switch my gauges don’t work and the headlights still turn on.
& is there an easier way 2 get to that switch?

unfortunately....I have had problems with the chinese switch that ecklers sells....JUNK.....I got a used one....woks well...I also drilled a small hole in the metal mounting area to add a ground wire ...the ground is VERY important...no easy way to access....leave the gauge area alone...remove the dash pad....most don't like to let the column hang to get the gauge (tach/speedo)pod out...you need a genuine GM switch.....my opinion.....
