Call me stupid, but I have no clue........only heard the term " powder coating"......never before today, "electrostatic coating"...are they the same???
BTW, I had never heard of " flash chroming " before I saw you mention it in a way earlier post....thanks for that, found a place in LA that does it.....your t-top bezel looks soooo good...

Same concept...but not exactly the same. Electrostatic painting was the term used to apply liquid/atomized paint to a metal part using electrical current to attract the paint to the part. Powder coating uses the same concept, but the 'paint' is in powder form; then it is baked at a fairly high temperature to liquify it and cure it.
