Speedometer gear color code question.
Friend of mine is swapping out a 3:08 gear set in his 71 vette for a 3:70 We were looking at the speedo gears that will need to be changed in the trans. to retain an accurate speedometer reading but the catalogs list them by color code and we dont know which color gear goes with a 3:70 rear? They are listed in the ZIP cat. from 18 teeth to 25 teeth and color coded.

Thanks for the replys guys. I had found this site but do not see GM manual trans.??? Unless Im missing it?
I think I have it narrowed down between two of them now though. BOTH are 22 teeth but one is for the larger driven gear. Just need to see which driven gear it is. I think we need the silver 22 teeth. We will see in the am. thanks
