If you can find out and let me know, that would be awesome. Also, if it helps a fellow forum member's buddy, that's an added bonus!

He said 30 bucks each for the short ones. (I think 18 inches) if interested, shoot me your zip and I will have him figure shipping. All of them are brand new, just closing his shop.

Is it going to look funny with no traditional muffler bodies under the rear of the car? I would almost think it would clean it up a bit with the thundersticks placed inline just behind the y-pipe. I'd love to see some photos from someone that has a setup similar to that.

Shoot....come to think of it....would there be enough room to have the pipes exit just in front of the rear tires? Sorta like the same location as the sidepipe setup, only without the possibility of burning your legs!! THAT might be the way to go, as long as there is enough ground clearance. Nothing sucks more than bottoming out the exhaust over speed bumps.

Hey Pilot.......does your buddy own Mr. T's Automotive there in Enid by chance?? I ordered a set from Tom....2 30" tubes....and they will be here on Monday. I can not WAIT!!! It will have 2-1/2" pipes, front to back, with an H-pipe for a little extra kick!

Yes he does.(the shop is closed but he still has the inventory) Those should sound sweet! But a little mellower than my 2- 18 inchers on mine. Tom put a full length custon 2.5 inch setup all the way on mine, and when my new headers are installed it should really wake it up, although it really did an awesome job in waking her up a bit even with the stock manifolds. I still am planning on adding an H pipe as well. I suggest getting some straight 18 inch Chrome tips with slashcuts for the back. That way even from the side you only see chrome where the old muffler cans used to be, you can have them welded on like he did mine. You won't be dissappointed in the sound, completely unique!

I'm stoked to get them here, let me tell you! I'm glad that this is the same feller that you were going to hook me up with right from the start too! I have a set of Hooker Competition headers on there now, but it goes 2-1-2 and finally through those Slowmasters. It's just toooooo mellow for my taste. Tom was the one that suggested the 30" tubes....
"I would say 30" inch would give you the sound you want without the overkill factor.I just did a friend of mines 84 Vette with 2 1/2 inch duals with 18"in mufflers and I am waiting for him to ask me to quiet it down for him. He still having too much fun right now. His wife really..Really Loves me now! She let's me know how far away see can hear him."

I will let you know how they sound when I get them all hooked up!!

Well he has it almaost right, but its an 81. I actually have 2 more 18 inchers at home if I ever want it a little mellower....but he is right, I love it, but for some reason my gas mileage is suffering badly.....I like the sound and my right foot is a little heavy!

So that was YOU?!! Too funny!! Well, depending on how they sound, Tom can expect to sell another set for my 76, a set for my 89 Chevy truck, and one more for my wife's 99 Durango! My neighbors will absolutely HATE me!! Muahahahahaaaaaa!!!!

Hey Paco, why do you need people's approval? The only thing that matters is whether you like the way it sounds. whos give a shart stain what other people think.
