Looking at the motor it would like it has the same thing on both valve covers but one would be a PVC and the other a breather thus making a crankcase ventilation work the way it is supposed to.

So back to the original question I would love to know if the bottom of his PCV breather looks like the one you have a link to that being of a hidden PCV valve. Maybe he has a breather on both sides and no PCV that's what I am trying to find out.

"Billet aluminum, the PCV Breather matches Earl's breather in appearance. The difference is the PCV Valve hidden inside. These breathers are available with either 3/8" slip–on hose connection or #6 AN hose end. Now you can eliminate that unsightly PCV valve."

Bottom line, excessive breather pressure is a result of blow-by....due to worn rings/valve guides(0ld engine).

Once I rebuilt my engine, you could see the breather inhale and exhale the gases at idle(I had chrome valve covers that showed this as a mist being reflected)

You are probably correct my point is trying to make sure he has a working PCV system with a PCV on one side attached to manifold vacuum and a breather on the other to properly vent his motor.

If he does then he probably has problems like excessive blowby like has been mentioned a few times.

I know if you disconnect the PCV on one side you will probably get a mist of oil out your other breather on to the valve cover

That's an old wives tale. GM installed them on either side, and it just doesn't matter.

Yes, I know, that's why I posted that link. The thing on his motor looks like that, a PCV valve disguised as a breather (but we can see a hose), with a breather on the other side that spews oil.

First, the baffle worked. Well so far anyways. I haven't been able to take it out on a long drive with plenty of low manifold vacuum wot bursts, but so far, no oil out of the breather. Here is a picture with a new breather and no duct tape.

And here is a picture of the underside of my PCV valve:

Next, I'll do a baffle for the other valve cover.

Yup that's a PVC so put a baffle on that side too and you should be OK to go, but make sure the PCV is working properly

I built the baffles for the passenger side tonight. I took pictures as I went just in case someone else wanted to do this.
I cut aluminum tubing into four 3" pieces.

The 3 1/2" bolts mount thru the tubes into the holes taped for center bolt valve covers.

Drill holes and mount the aluminum sheets that are cut 18x3".

Or how about a drain back vent cover.

It will work and it will work just fine,i made the same thing for my motor because my vacuum pump was sucking out to much oil,i have the belt driven pump from GZ Motorsports. I made the same splash shield, problem solved.

That's good work, nice job

Stud girdles work good as baffles too a little more expensive though
